It has been a busy last two months with kid's activities, finishing up first semester at school, and Rebekah had two surgical procedures - that will hopefully restore her health. All that, along with some issues with receiving pictures taken, hindered the sending of our Christmas card....apologies. Hopefully we will be back on track next year.
Both kids finished out their first semesters at school well.
Andrew finished up his basketball season. He was a very big contributor to the team and was able to improve his game. Here is his school picture as well as some game shots...always tough, so this is best I could do.
Abby continued swimming lessons at the Y and Madi stayed busy with school, babysitting, and helping out around the house.
As a pre-Christmas present, Abby got her ears pierced for the first time. There were some tears shed initially....but quickly recovered.
Christmas went well. We had spent time with family. We did have a visit from Rebekah's brother's family this year - which was good. Madi got mostly clothes and Andrew's focus was games on Xbox. Abby received an American Girl Doll (among other things of course). With that, we made our first trip to the American Girl Store in Tyson's Corner. It was impressive...and a little overwhelming. We had a good time though.
We had family pictures taken this summer and recently received them. Here are some of the one's we chose....pretend they are in a Christmas card :)
Madi also received her Senior Pictures. Here are some copies of those...some are a little odd looking because they are in "book" form and not just pictures.
And Finally....Abby's 7th Birthday! We had a family gathering and a small kid party. Her big gift was a new bike. Her birthday was dog themed.....and no, we did not get a dog...here are some pics.
Our neighbors were nice enough to allow Luna, their grand-dog to come over while she was visiting during the kid party.
Spring will be busy. We have final college visits with Madi and a decision to make. Madi and Andrew will run track this spring....teammates! Abby will be busy attending track meets and continuing swimming or gymnastics.
