Fall 2016

Hello.

What a busy fall we had.  Madi started her senior year.  She had a very successful field hockey season.  The team won the division for the third year in a row.  They made it to Districts and States.  She was an effective captain and had a double double as a player....quite the rewarding season.  Here are some pics.

At the end of the season, Madi was recognized as a first team Div II all-league (YAIAA) player.  She was also recognized as a first team all league player by Gametime PA (video link to follow).  At the team's field hockey banquet, she received MVP and also was recognized for the Hall of Fame plaque as a top scorer of all-time for the school, scoring more than 100 points.  Here are some pics from the banquet:

Madi also made district orchestra.  She had a concert on the same Saturday as her field hockey photo shoot for Gametime PA.  Fun to have two very diverse skills recognized in the same day.  Here is a picture from after the concert.

And, here is a "tough" picture screenshot from the video.....

She attended homecoming in October, as did Andrew.  The only year they will both be there.  Here is quick picture of them before they left followed by more of Madi and her friends.

Madi was honored as the Lion's Club student of the month in September. She attended a meeting where she ate with the club and answered questions.

Andrew had a good start to his freshman year.  At the last minute he decided to run cross country.  He had a very good season and it was a great experience.  He quickly ran fast enough to make the varsity team.  This meant he got to go to Williamsburg for an overnight with the team to run a race.  He watched a college race, met an Olympian, and ran pretty well at the race.  This was definitely a hi-light of the season.

Andrew ended up running as the team's third man for the second half of the season.  He completed at the YAIAA league meet and at the District 3 meet.  Though it was impossible to make it to both events, both Madi and Andrew had District level sporting events on the same day.

We joked that Andrew would be ready for his District race because he had his favorite breakfast and Spongebob to prepare. Ha!

The race....

At Andrew's Cross Country banquet, he earned his first varsity letter and received the freshman of the year award.

Abby had a good start to 1st grade.  Most of her fall was spent at school, taking good care of her dolls after school, and attending her siblings events.

She had some good school pics....

Abby did go trick or treating, something she looks forward to every year.

She has started swimming lessons at the YWCA and will continue them this winter.  Andrew has started 9th grade basketball practice for the winter.  Madi will be finishing up first semester senior year stuff and college stuff.

Hope you have a good holiday season.  Will update with a Christmas post and Abby birthday post in the next few months.....until next time.
