Hello. This blog represents the spring of 2013 through the end of school...
April began with Rebekah picking up her 5th Pink Cadillac...very exciting....
Madi had a busy couple months. She ran track and played club field hockey. She had a successful track season where she reached her goals in the both the 800 and 1600. I got the opportunity to coach her again as a volunteer assistant coach. Here is her track picture and a copy of a picture that made the Waynesboro Record Herald.
Her Field Hockey team got 2nd place in a tournament this spring....
In May, she celebrated her 14th birthday...
She ended her middle school career earning an academic award at the awards banquet. Here she is with her friend Emma who also received the award with the founders of the the award.
Andrew played baseball this spring. He had fun and had a good season. Here are some random pictures of him from the season. Here is a series of him beating out a bunt..some are a little blurry, but still thought they were cool....
Here are some pictures of Andrew pitching....
Abby finished her first year of preschool. She did well. She also spent alot of time at ball fields and track meets this spring. She was a trooper. Pictures from her program did not turn out :( . Here is her school picture.
And Abby with Luna, our neighbors granddog...
She got very good at eating chocolate ice cream cones....
Abby at the ballfield...
Ever the Princess, this video was shot at my niece Stephanie's graduation in Georgia....funny
I attended my Washington DC trip with the War college in the beginning of May. We visited Government Agencies and with Congress members. It was a great trip. I got to meet Congressman Scott Perry who happens to be my Congressman. He was very engaging. I was selected to give him the gift at the end of the presentation. I did tell him that I aspire to take his job one day....you never know....
Later in the month, Rebekah and I attended the Joint Ball. It was a good time....
Gen Welsh - Chief of Staff of the Air Force came to the college to speak. We had a chance to meet with him as an Air Force group after - he was candid and it was a great visit. Here is the picture taken afterward...a little where's Waldo for you...
And finally, I graduated from the US Army War College. It was a great year and I will miss the people, the discussion, and the schedule. I will be doing some military days this summer and then prepare to head back to the classroom in the fall.
Graduation went well. The rain stopped in time to have it outside. Good weather, good speeches, and it ran very smoothly.
Graduation pictures of me receiving my diploma from Major General Cucolo and from Chief of Staff of the Army Gen Odierno.
And a goofy family pic as well....
We are looking forward to a good summer. Madi is planning on continuing field hockey. I am coaching Andrew in a basketball summer league. We have vacations planned to Williamsburg and Word of Life Camp in New York.
Hope your summer is off to a good start....until next time....
