Winter 2022 Abby is 12!

Hello.  Busy winter and spring for us, as always.

Madi continues doing a great job working at the Center Square covering California and Oregon government and policy (Check her stuff out!).  She is continuing to enjoy CA and prepare for the wedding.  Adjusting to the adulting and associated stressors of work, car troubles and new used car, insurance changes, etc....in addition to the wedding.  Still time to enjoy the environment in CA and activities, here are some....

Madi and her friends / bridesmaids gathered in Charleston, SC for a bachelorette weekend.

Andrew headed back to school.  We did have the opportunity to see him run twice at VMI -  a great facility.  It was awesome to see him run in person after all the COVID delays.  Here are some pics.

And some from the professional photographer that got posted.....

We were able to have him come back to the room to eat and watch tv with us.....that was nice

Andrew worked his way the process to take a big step toward military service by contracting with the Army.  This commits him to finishing ROTC, Advanced Camp, and the completing the commissioning process to be an Army officer upon graduation.  It was cool to be there and witness it.

Andrew also attended the winter formal, a VMI annual event.  Here is a picture.

Abby had a good winter.  She continued to swim and improve her times.  She continues to do well in school, play the cello, participate in chorus, and also Wyldlife - a youth group held at the school.  This is in addition to tik tok's and working out using her Peloton strength workouts and running....busy.

In late January, she turned 12.  We had some friends come over and we went to a movie at a cool new theater in Frederick and then to our kids favorite pizza place, Coal Fire, in Frederick.  It was a great time.  Here are some pics

Abby had a good swim season.  She improved in all of her events.  Here is a video of her 100IM at the divisional championships.

Abby and I bought used skis this year and a ski pass.  We were able to go 4 times to Ski Liberty.  Ski Liberty is less than 30 min from our house, so it is very convenient.  It was a great time and we got better....looking forward to continuing this in the future.

We look forward to a busy spring and beginning of summer.  Madi will be home for her wedding shower and will be working to finish the planning and details for the wedding. Andrew will finish up his second year at VMI and we hope to see him run some outdoor track events this spring.  Abby will continue through her sixth grade year.  We look forward to some concerts and her starting up swimming again in May.

Until next time.....
