Andrew's basketball season ended on a high note. The team won their last 7th and 8th grade basketball tournament.
Madi finished her field hockey indoor games. She was selected for County Orchestra. She performed well and it was a good experience.
Here is a picture of a late February snow that we received. It was a significant amount ( 7 inches) and then got up to 37 degrees....great for sledding. Andrew and Abby took advantage of it.
Track started in March. Madi got off to a good start in her first scrimmage despite the cool, breezy day. Here are some pics.
Andrew also started his first middle school track season. He ran well his first meet in the cold. He finished first in the 1600 and 800 and ran the 4 x 400. Here are some pics of the first races.
Abby was very excited for Easter this year. She had a preschool field trip to a local shop where she painted some ceramic eggs.
We had a good Easter. There was an accident that shut down rt 81 Easter Sunday and it took an extra hour to get to Grammy's, but we made it safely and had the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Here is a picture of our Sunday best and of the Easter Egg Hunt.
Abby started soccer. There was much trepidation on the first day. We made it through. Here is Abby's first drill.
We did get the snack after, which also helped.
She was a little more active the next week. Here are some pics.
Madi played a field hockey tournament in April with her club team at Shippensburg University. Here are some pics.
The weather eventually warmed up. Andrew got the flu in the middle of his season, but recovered nicely to better his times by the end of the season. Here are some pics from later in the season. Andrew had a good season with competitive times in the 1600 and 800.
He capped of his season by finishing 5th in the 800 at the New Oxford Middle School Invitational.
Madi also improved during the season. She was able to reach her goal in the 1600 at Millersville in April despite a windy, cool day. Here are some more pics of her from later in the season. She qualified for the league (YAIAA) championships in the 1600.
Rebekah attended Mother Daughter day at Abby's preschool. It was a good time.....last one.
Madi attended the Jr Sr Prom. She looked beautiful and had a good time.
Madi turned 16 in May. Rebekah took her and some friends to NYC for the weekend. They shopped and saw Wicked. A crazy weekend, but certainly a memorable one.
Abby graduated Preschool. Hard to believe. They had graduation pictures and a ceremony.
On the same day Madi got her learner's permit. Quite a day. A a day that explains our unique family.
Madi and Andrew had successful endings to their 10th and 7th grade school year respectively. Looking forward to a good, but busy summer.....
