We had a very busy summer. We started our summer with a flooded basement - sadness. We took the opportunity to clean out as we put things together. It was alot of work, but something that needed done.
We started our summer with our annual trip to Williamsburg, VA with my family. We had a very good time. We hit the usual places such as the resort pool, Water Country, and Madi made her way to Busch Gardens. Here are some pictures of the adventures.
At the Pool...
We had 2 good beach days at Virginia Beach
Madi went to Busch Gardens with her cousins
Water Country...
Andrew and I got out golfing. We hit some good shots and bad. We hit enough good shots to go again...
Madi had a busy summer. She worked at Mr G's Ice Cream Shop part time, did some babysitting, and spent time with her friends. Having a car to use allowed her to do alot of things.
Madi also organized a Field Hockey clinic for 7th-9th graders. It was a huge success.
Her Senior teammates who helped make it possible.
Abby attended Good News Camp with Grammy for a week. Madi and Lauren helped out. Here are some pics of the fun.
We also made some college visits to UVA and JMU...nice to see different schools as she prepares to apply to college in the fall.
One of my goals was to get Abby riding her bike. We worked on it and had success!!
Rebekah and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary. We took an overnight trip to Annapolis. We did some shopping, caught a movie, and walked through Annapolis. It was a good time. We also ate at Davis' Pub which was shown on one of our favorite shows, Diner's, Drivein's and Dives.
Andrew played in a Jr Varsity summer league this summer. Pictures were hard to capture, but here are a couple.
Andrew also turned 15 this summer. We had a family gathering for him. He also got to go to Buffalo Wild Wings with his friends and see a late movie.....good times...
Andrew also had the opportunity to go clay shooting at the Littlestown Game club. He had fun and was a pretty good shot.
Abby spent most of July and August at the pool. She is becoming a good swimmer. Here are some pics of her at the pool.
Madi will begin her Senior year and play field hockey. Andrew enters High School as a Freshman. He will be preparing for basketball during the fall. Abby begins 1st grade. She is excited about it.
Madi got a nice mention in a regional website the beginning of field hockey pre-season.
Andrew go his braces off just before he started high school. That is what they told him when they put them on. Just made it!!
