We had a busy fall with all the activities. Here are some highlights.
Madi completed her Field Hockey season. It went well for the team and her individually. She was a large contributor to a team that went undefeated and won the league championship. She was also elected Jr Captain for the team which leads to being the Sr Captain next year.
Madi and the team had some nice coverage in the paper this year. Here are some of the articles.
The team made it to the County Championship Tournament. We lost on a questionable penalty call. Madi did get two pics via the York Area paper though.
Madi was able to accumulate some impressive stats during this memorable. The coaches compiled them on a board for the field hockey banquet.
Madi was also selected into the National Honor Society. Here are attempts at pics from the induction.
Madi is the Junior Class Vice President, so she participated decorating for homecoming. She attended the homecoming dance with her friends and boyfriend.
Andrew had a successful Cross Country season. He ran up front in most of his races and also served as a leader of the middle school team.
He was able to cap off his season with a 5th place finish in the middle school race at the Gettysburg Cross Country Invite.
My good friend from school did take Andrew and I out to shoot some of his guns and to walk in the woods to look for doves. No results, but it was fun and a good experience.
Abby spent most of her fall traveling around to see her brother and sister at games and meets. She has been active at home. As a sign that she is getting older, she lost her big tooth in September.
Abby has adjusted well to Kindergarten. She has made friends and is doing well in the classroom. Here is her first school picture.
Abby has grown to like Starbucks. Here she is at a "meeting" with one of her friends.
We did go trick or treating in our community. Abby was excited and had a good time. The weather was good and we covered a pretty large distance and got alot of candy.
We took a family trip to Cedarville University for Rebekah's 20th reunion and took the opportunity for Madi to get a tour. It was a great weekend despite the cold and windy weather.
Rebekah celebrated her birthday in November. We spent a night at National Harbor. Here is an admittedly poor selfie picture of us on the balcony of our hotel room overlooking the common area and ferris wheel.
As we head into the Holiday season, Madi will be travelling to California with a club field hockey team to play in a tournament after Thanksgiving. Andrew will be playing basketball for the Middle School team. And, Abby plans on swimming lessons and gymnastics classes.
Hope your fall has been great so far. Wishing you a great Holiday Season....until next time....
